I am a 50 something, happily married wife and mom with two grown sons.  I live and work in Nashville.  I am loving life and looking forward to the next several decades.  Love all types of exercise – running, yoga, walking, biking, HIIT.  I love to cook healthy meals for my family.  I am constantly trying out new recipes and tweaking them for better health.

My passion is health and wellness, and creating a good life for myself and my family.  I am a planner and a food prep maniac!  I bring my lunch on most days – food prep helps me stay healthy and well.

My husband, David and I love to travel and are working toward traveling more often.  We also enjoy exercising together.  Hiking, biking and running.  He leaves me in the dust when we run!

We have two sons, 23 and 26.  Our youngest graduated from UT Knoxville in December 2018 and is currently employed by the NFL.  Our oldest son works with my husband as an electrician. We have two cats and one dog — all rescues.

We enjoy going out with our friends about once a month, testing out all of the awesome, new restaurants in Nashville.  I will post about our experiences.

Recently I received my trainer and nutrition specialist certifications from ISSA.  So excited to begin truly helping women obtain their health goals.

Let’s be truthful – most of us are looking for a better life and it seems in midlife we decide it’s time to make those changes before it is too late. 

This is the place to find a realistic approach to midlife health, wellness, fashion, beauty, food and lifestyle – all For a Good Life After 50.

I started my journey in 2012 when I turned 50. At the time, I was looking to better my health and wellness – I was tired of being tired. I learned so much on that journey and continue to learn every day.

Fast forward to 2017 when I started this blog.   I wanted a place to share what was working for me then and continues to work for me. This is a place where women can share their journey and ideas so that we can learn from each other.

Let’s face it, midlife is not easy – things change rapidly.  We need all the help and tips we can give each other and they are, well, helpful!

 I am here to encourage you to embrace midlife and live it on your terms – not on anyone else’s.  My friend, you are perfect and imperfect, poised and powerful, bold and beautiful.  You have gifts and talents to share with the world and the world needs this from you.

My goal for this site is to inspire you as a midlife woman to live your best life now.
