Do you find yourself longing for more?  Do you feel happy or do you feel like you are running out of time, not living the midlife you want or spending time doing the things you want to do?  Honestly, I feel all of those things and I am sure you do to.

At midlife, society has us believing that life is over and that we are supposed to slow down and wind down our lives.  Who is this “society”?  I sure would like to meet them and tell them exactly how wrong they are!

LET’S DEFINE HAPPY

The definition of happy can have many meanings depending on who’s talking.  In general, I find that most midlife women are happy when they are in control of their lives, creating a life they want and feel like they deserve, and no longer care so much about what others think.

While this can be hard, when it is fully embraced, the results are amazing.  There are so many women creatives living lives they only dreamed of.  They are bold and speaking their truth out loud.  We are embracing the journey to get this happy life we want.

When you decide to embrace midlife, accept who you truly are and are ready to seek your own dreams, you find that you:

  1.  Stop Living in Fear of who you truly are

You will fall in love with the person you are becoming – you know, the one you see every morning in the mirror.  This person will love you back and no longer will you care what others think or whether you will be judged, rejected or disliked.  It’s that person in the mirror that matters most.

2.  It easier to be true to yourself

The only person you need to please is you.  You can stop trying to please others, get them to understand how you feel, and why you want to have a different life.  Pleasing others and not being who you are is mentally and physically exhausting.

3.  You can love the life you have and pursue other dreams

I am a wife and mother.  That part of my life gives me great joy and I have no intention of changing that.  I also have a full-time job that I am not ready to give up.  It brings stability to my life and I enjoy the work I do.

BUT

There is a part of me that wants and needs to be creative.  I am tapping into that creative part of my brain and working toward being a successful blogger and midlife influencer. This brings me joy and is so different from the other parts of my life.  AND a part of me that wants to help other women live a good, healthy life.  As I mentor women, I want them to know they can be healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle for years to come.

I had no idea how much I would love sharing my life with others and teaching them about health, wellness, beauty, fashion and sharing recipes, thoughts and ideas.
